風鈴酒店 (Wind Chimes)

First of all this is not a hotel category and more of lodge type. Opposite hotel there is a big open drainage makes terrible smell and very unpleasant smell when we step out of the street.

Located near auroville beach road, i would say good hotel with decent enough rooms and very hospitable staffs.

The room service and customer service was excellent. Staff are very polite and helpful. Highly recommended

Safe place to stay for couples and families. They gave us a complementary breakfast ( 2idly&poori&vada) which is reasonably good. They helped us in renting two wheelers and the staff were very good and this place is away from the city and it is 100metres away from a beach which is very less crowded. Recommended for repeated stays in this guest house.

Safe place for couples and family. The staff is very kind, cooperative and excellent customer centric. The place is just 100mtrs to the less crowded auroville beach, where you get a feeling of private beach experience. Breakfast is delivered from outside tie up, which is kinda ok but not that great though. An indoor restaurant would be great plus. Room ac is also connected to genset, which is good, when it is switched on, as soon as the power goes off, than being reactive. Entire puducherry and auroville areas have frequent power cuts. In summary, one can revisit the hotel many no. Of times.

Even though i had an email confirmation of early check in, the reception guy was asking me to wait till 2 pm until i produced the email copy. So basically no record / track is kept about guests requests. Secondly, the entrance was horrible as some underground work was going on and had a large pit dug on the narrow road that leads to the hotel from the main road. So the guests had to take a long way around using a different parallel road to reach the hotel which i had to figure out myself. The hotel authority should have informed this earlier. Otherwise, this is a budget stay hotel. Since i was about to checkout early considering the fact that i checked in early, provisions were made to provide the complimentary breakfast on the day i checked in and i do appreciate it ! i would also suggest an inprovement to provide an intercom facility in future.
